Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Zagato 100th Anniversary Edition Replica

Chopard, the official timekeeper of the Mille Miglia race is paying a tribute to the 100th anniversary of its racing partner, Italian coachbuilding company Zagato. To mark the centenary of Zagato, Chopard has created the Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Zagato 100th Anniversary Edition watch, a piece bearing the design codes of a racing model.


The case


This technically superior model, serving to calculate the average speed during the race, exudes a vintage spirit inspired by old-timers. Crafted in stainless steel, the watch features a robust 42-mm wide round case. The dial is painted red, the color of both Zagato and the Mille Miglia, and graced with a motif resembling the Z of Zagato.

The logos of two brands appear at 12 o’clock position surrounded by the black aluminum inner bezel bearing a graduated tachymeter scale.


The movement


The movement, ETA 2894-2, is COSC certified and it provides functions for hours, minutes, small seconds, date, and chronograph with 12-hour and 30-minute totalizers. The automatic movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides around 42 hours of power reserve.

Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Zagato 100th Anniversary Edition replica watch is mounted on a black calfskin bund strap with tone-on-tone stitching. The strap evokes those used to lash down old-timer car trunks and is inspired by the Zagato upholstery. An elegant black leather strap is also available as an option.

Not to be outdone by Audemars Piguet and their claims to Formula 1 racing, Hublot, the official watch brand of F1, has announced the F1 King Power Austin as a tribute to the United States Grand Prix which was held in Austin, Texas this past weekend. Limited to just 250 units, this titanium cased chronograph boasts a carbon and titanium bezel which has been styled to look like a cross-drilled  performance brake rotor.
