SIHH 2017: Panerai Radiomir 3 Days Acciaio (PAM 685 and PAM 687)
Officine Panerai has unveiled today two new special editions of the the Radiomir 3 Days Acciaio – 47mm that will be debuted in January 2017 at Le Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie (SIHH 2017).
The 12-sided bezel (in brushed steel and smoothed, polished angles) is engraved with the words “OFFICINE PANERAI – BREVETTATO”, which refers to the patented luminous substance used on the dial of the watches, which were presented to the authorities of the Royal Italian Navy in the late 1930’s. Each piece has a hand-wound, P.3000 mechanical movement executed entirely by Panerai, that deliver an elegant, symmetrical construction. The simple dial with 2-hands of the Radiomir 3 Days Acciaio is available in black (PAM00685) or in a shaded brown (PAM00687), a completely new color in the Panerai lineup and one which is intended to evoke the lightening effect from the luminous substance found on the original dials.
