Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 44 London Chronograph For The Olympic Games
The upcoming Olympic Games will take place next year in London. Omega is the official timekeeper of the event. A giant digital clock was placed on the Trafalgar Square in London to count down the time before the ceremony. The watch was unveiled two days ago, but for some reason it suddenly stops working at 500 days, 7 hours, 6 minutes, 56 seconds.
The team is on its way to fix the disappointing problem but at the mean time, a completely chronograph model is issued to mark 500 days before the opening ceremony. The watch is named Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 44 London Chronograph replica and it is available in two variations.
Sporty and active people will certainly prefer the stainless steel variation, completed with matching bracelet. Connoisseurs who are more fond of noble materials will have to wait a bit longer until the bicolor model, crafted in 18-carat red gold and stainless steel is released. The bicolor model is going to be paired with black leather bracelet.
As far as we know by now, both models will feature the same blue dial, featured here on the pictures. The dial is offered in a very nice shade of blue with a distinctive vertical teak-pattern often used for many of the Omega Aqua Terra watches. This chronograph watch has a 30-minute recorder at 3 o’clock and 12-hour recorder at 6 o’clock, and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock. A nice and discrete date window is positioned between 4 and 5 o’clock.
The solid case back is engraved with the “London 2012” inscription, protecting the core of a watch that beats with the Omega 3313 caliber self-winding chronograph mechanism. This is one of the widely used Omega movements, characterized by the great precision and durability. In addition, it provides approximately 52 hours of power reserve.
The Omega men’s watch is equipped with a screw-in crown and water resistant to 150 meters. Reference number: 522.10.44.50.03.001
